THE NEWS CAN WAIT is an Alternative-Punk band that blends a wide variety of intense and intricate stylings to present a passionate and visceral performance. With hints of Post-Hardcore, Punk, Post-Rock, and more experimental influences; The News Can Wait brings audiences to a unified head-bob more often than circle pits, never wanting to miss a moment of the performance. Originally forming in Dallas, TX in 2005 by guitarist Marcus Lopez, The News Can Wait has underwent various line-up changes through years of rigorous DIY touring and nonstop performing around Texas and other near by states. By way of intertwined guitar leads and thick grooved rhythms, vocalist Chad Webster congregates audiences with confident yet humbling inquiries into freedom and the lack thereof. After 3 self-released EP’s and a single release in 2015, The News Can Wait is gearing up to release their self-titled EP via Third String Records representing their current line-up built up over a decade of fine tuning.
